PC Humor

(What started out as a PC Humor page is now growing into a little collection of humor web sites that aren't all directly related to computers.)

The Official Link Icon - Dilbert loves technology for the sake of technology. In fact, Dilbert loves technology more than people. He's got the social skills of a mousepad and he'd rather surf the Internet than Waikiki (which, considering the physique he developed after years of sitting in front of a PC screen, is a blessing).*

DORK TOWER is for anybody who's ever played Dungeons and Dragons, who's ever gone to a Star Trek convention, anyone who suspects that Anime is more than just a passing fad, or anyone who KNOWS one of these people. But it's really for people who know what saving rolls you need to make against a level III Demon, which Classic Trek episodes involved the Prime Directive (and who were the directors), and the names of six minor characters and a dog in the Bubblegum Crisis.* 07/12/2003

Dr. Ashen present's, "How to build a computer for almost no money at all!" - More and more people these days are building their own computers. Not only does it cost less to put together a machine yourself, but you also get to avoid the ignorant, shifty-eyed salesmen in PC World who only exist to pressure you into buying a worthless extended warranty. So why doesn't everyone build their own computer?

Because, of course, most people don't know how. There is a mystique surrounding computers - we are led to believe that they are sophisticated and complicated pieces of equipment that need to be built by trained experts using special tools such as "screwdrivers". This is simply untrue.

Building a computer is a surprisingly easy process that requires no technical knowledge or expensive components. Just follow my easy tutorial and you will soon have a computer powerful enough to play the latest games like Half-Life 3 and Doom 7 - for almost no money at all!

Full Tilt Features Provides Comic Lovers Exciting New Choices for Daily Delivery - NewsGator Online Services Licenses Full Tilt Comics as "Premium Content" While Full Tilt's own Desktop Funnies Delivers Daily Laughs to Subscribers' Desktops.

Portland, OR — January 19, 2004 - Full Tilt Features, an online comics syndicate, announced that starting today subscribers may enjoy exclusive, high quality comic strips and panels by thirteen professional cartoonists via NewsGator Online Services or Full Tilt's own Desktop Funnies.

"Our comics are not in newspapers," said Full Tilt founder and co-owner, Dawn Douglass, who herself writes one of the available comic strips. "That means our humor can be edgier, less politically correct or otherwise diluted, and our topics can stay fresh, because none of our cartoonists are dead and our to-print lead time is shorter." Indeed, traditional syndication allows little opportunity for cutting edge work, claims Douglass, because "even when a cartoonist dies, the feature is often given to someone else to imitate, or in the case of Peanuts, decades-old gags are simply recycled." Thus, Full Tilt Features was created to find innovative opportunities for worthy cartoonists seeking readership.

NaDa™ is a new concept. A thought, really. It is very light : 1 byte. It doesn't take long to fetch. It doesn't take long to understand. It doesn't disturb your habits nor does it makes you feel insecure. It is a reassuring piece of software that does nothing, and does it very well. That's a lot !

Most products we see on the market want to increase our productivity, organize our screen joyfully or make wonders with our sound card, but NaDa™ does nothing. This is a revolutionary whole new approach, a concept far beyond what you usually expect from the software industry. Download it and forget it.
