Windows Forums

These are the sites you want to use should you need immediate assistance with any Windows related problems.

And, here's some friendly advice about posting in a forum after a "Cat Torture" joke was recently posted Online:

It's hysterical...I can just imagine how funny it would be to post this on the Pet Lovers board... :-D

You know, if you tell the joke...

"How do you get a nun pregnant?
Dress her up like an alterboy"

...in mixed company, it might be considered funny.

If you tell it to a hopeless pedant, he will point out that no amount of buggering will get Sister Mary pregnant, and no outfit will make her look like a young boy.

If you tell this joke to Sister Mary or Father Jim, well, you are a brave soul.

If you pop your head in and tell the joke in "Survivors of Childhood Abuse" you are a huge douche. Even if the people there don't have a sense of humor, doesn't mean you aren't a douche.

Since some of those folks deal with abused animals daily, I can understand if they don't like such humor coming from those they don't know. Also, the OP had started out with something a kin to "Now don't take offense, but.." which is usually followed by something that the person knows to be offensive.

Here's a safety tip: If you go around telling jokes to strangers that you know will offend them, some one is going to give you a whooping. Most people who witness this will have a good sense of humor about the whooping. AverageJoe seems to have a good sense of humor, but I bet if you popped into a disabled vet support group and told a joke making fun of them, there is a good chance he'd help you leave by the nearest window. Just a safety tip.

CastleCops Forums - Security Professionals - Because Security is Everything.* And they also offer CastleCops Deutsch Forums. I have seen the CastleCops web site before (...don't ask why I never added a link previously...sucky memory is the only excuse I have...) and I was only looking for some info about another web site for which they had info about and related forums, but I had no desire to post in their forums since I already do so much at TMF. However, I saw one post that I just had to reply to and since they allow "Guest Posting" without having to join their forums, I figured I'd reply.

However, (...Doofus Me...) I couldn't get their Guest Posting to work correctly and I contacted Paul (... I figured since I wasn't looking to join their forums, I'd just get someone else to post the info for me that I wanted to pass along...), whom I assumed was either an Admin or the Webmaster. I later found out that he's the owner of CastleCops.

So, it's late at night, I know he's busy posting, and yet he's taking the time to try to help me figure out why I can't post. Four or five e-mails later and he finds out where I messed up and I was able to post my reply to the thread. Now, anyone who's that dedicated to helping someone post, especially someone who doesn't even want to join their web site, is Awesome in my book! And, during these back & forth TSing e-mails, he tells me a bit more about his web site and I spend some time looking over the info he sent me. They offer a LOT of Security Related Info!!
